Web & Digital Designer – Thessaloniki

Plug-in, is looking for a part time (with a ft option) Web & Digital Designer to join its creative team. The selected candidate will be located in Thessaloniki starting as soon as possible.

Should have an eye for good design, participate in a wide range of project and enjoy challenges. Must have at least 1 year of web designing experience and be full of enthusiasm.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Developing back and front end of new functionalities and sections of our clientele portfolio using PHP and Wordpress integrating with MySQL databases where necessary.
• Making improvements and bug-fixes to existing websites using PHP and Wordpress.
• Assisting in the support of other in-house products and sites.
• Working with other members of the team to improve existing processes and procedures, and helping to identify new processes
• Working within the team's Quality Assurance and Testing framework.
• Excellent XHTML, HTML5 / CSS3 Knowledge, PHP, Wordpress, Drupal (latest versions), Magento, Javascript, AJAX.
• Fluent in English
• At least 1 year of hands-on Wordpress experience is required as well as being particularly proficient in programming in object oriented PHP and MySQL databases. The successful candidate will have worked on, and developed database driven and transactional websites (sample URLs will be required) within a LAMP environment.
• Good knowledge of W3C standards and practices, as well as an exemplary eye for detail.
• Adobe Software, Photoshop, Fireworks and Illustrator
• SEO understanding and ability to use Google Analytics
• Excellent internet skills in using various browsers and search engines
• Team player, quick learner, keep up to date with latest industry news and trends, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have experience working within a digital agency or an online media.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability and willingness to continually search for new ideas and development methods.
