Procurement Manager, Microsoft, Greece

Procurement Manager (Greece/Serbia/Montenegro/Cyprus/Malta) (Temporary position). The Procurement Manager is responsible for achieving procurement goals and objectives within the subsidiaries in scope for this role. This individual will engage and work on a daily basis with all relevant local stakeholders on agreed activities.


Prime stakeholders are Finance, Marketing, Control and Compliance, IT, HR, Enterprise Consulting Services. The Procurement Manager will need to develop and execute a portfolio of procurement initiatives based on regional or global category strategies or strategies that are adjusted to local needs that drive and deliver cost saving opportunities. This individual is expected to achieve measurable improvements in cost, quality, service, and vendor performance for categories of Employee Experience (Travel, Auto, Real Estate and Facilities), Marketing, Professional Services, Technology (IT and Telecom), and others.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement with indirect sourcing experience (sourcing, tactics and strategy), in a multinational company
  • University degree, preferably in Economics or Business Administration, an MBA would be an asset
  • Proven track record of procurement projects in the following categories: Marketing, IT, Telecommunication, Professional Services, company cars, etc.
  • Proven results in procurement knowledge and change management
  • Interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships fast and with confidence to influence business managers
  • Ability to quickly understand the business needs and to communicate results effectively
  • Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, within CEE countries and within the Procurement organization
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize
  • Fluency in both Greek and English
